What did you deliver and how did you get there?
I mapped out the logistics processes to help Vinted (in Lithuania) expand into new countries. By talking to various departments, I gained a good insight into how the processes within the company are organised, and I was able to offer advice. I also helped with negotiations about shipping prices and finding suitable partners, which led to lower shipping costs for customers.
What is the added value for the company?
Vinted is based in Lithuania and can now start up more quickly in new countries because they know exactly which steps are necessary. They also have a better understanding of information flows, so that everyone knows what they need to do and in what order.
What did you enjoy or value the most?
I loved that the Vinted office was super modern, with rooms where you could play games or take a nap. There was no strict boss-at-the-top atmosphere; everyone was treated equally. I was also allowed to go on business trips and did not feel like a placement student, but truly like a full-fledged employee.
