Setting up an automatic scanning system for fries
What did you deliver and how did you get there? I drew up a plan for potato producer Lamb Weston to implement an automatic scanning system in their warehouse. This system helps to eliminate human error and makes the whole warehouse process more efficient.
What is the added value for the company? The scanning system is saving Lamb Weston €30,000 a week by reducing the number of potatoes thrown away due to human error.
What did you enjoy or value the most? The best thing about this project was that I worked at a production company where no two days were the same. Every day brought something new, making the experience dynamic and engaging. This variety kept things exciting and ensured I always went to my placement with a good feeling.
