The journey to the Rotterdam Rave Festival
What did you deliver and how did you get there?
I created an improved transport plan for Rotterdam Rave. Due to uncoordinated crowds, unsafe traffic situations and long queues arose at this event. First I analysed the bottlenecks and then came up with solutions, such as extra shuttle buses, better communication with visitors, and the separation of transport routes.
What is the added value for the company?
The new transport plan ensures that visitors can reach the festival faster, safer and more easily. This improves the visitor experience and makes further growth of the Rotterdam Rave Festival possible.
What did you enjoy or value the most?
I found it very interesting to see how a festival is organised, such as making arrangements with the municipality, drawing up traffic plans and the festival map. It gave me a good insight into what is involved in organising such a large event!
